* Jindal Stainless: The country’s largest stainless steel maker, will invest ₹5,400 crores over the next three years as it looks at a 40 percent ramp-up in capacities to 4.2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
* Godrej Group: They announced a family settlement under which Adi Godrej and Nadir Godrej will control the listed companies in the group. In contrast, Jamshyd Godrej and Nyrika Holkar will control Godrej Enterprises comprising Godrej & Boyce and its affiliates. The listed entities under Godrej Industries Group (GIG) are Godrej Industries, Godrej Consumer Products, Godrej Properties, Godrej Agrovet, and Astec Lifesciences.
* Wipro: They have received a contract from Nokia to overhaul its employee service desk and provide seamless, real-time IT support to a global network of employees.
* Adani Power: The Gautam Adani-led company reported a 48 percent YoY fall in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,737 crore for the March 2024 quarter compared with Rs 5,243 crore in the year-ago period. The Adani Group's utilities arm's revenue from operations stood at Rs 13,363.69 crore for the March 2024 quarter, up 30 percent YoY.
* Rail Vikas Nigam: The state-run railway company has emerged as the lowest bidder for a project worth Rs 390.97 crore from Eastern Railway.
* Mishra Dhatu Nigam: The state-run aerospace and defense player has secured an order of Rs 139 crore. With this, the open order position of Midhani as of date is around Rs 1,830 crore.
* BSE: The company has revised equity derivatives transaction charges from May 13.
* Kotak Mahindra Bank: KVS Manian, joint managing director of the company has resigned with immediate effect.
* Maruti Suzuki: They commence pre-bookings for the much-awaited epic New Swift for 11,000 per unit.
* TVS Motors: They sold 3.8 lakh units of vehicles in April 2024, up by 25% in the year-ago period. The total two-wheeler segment grew by 27% to 3.7 lakh units.
* Ambuja Cements: They reported a 5.9% rise in the net profit for Q4FY24 at ₹532 crore. The revenue for the quarter increased by 12.3% YoY to ₹4,780 crore, with the sales volume rising to 9.5 million metric tonnes.
